Nursing Framework OJEU notice published

The OJEU advertisement for would-be providers to the new national nursing framework for the NHS and other public sector bodies has been published and can be found on TED.

The contract is for "Supply services of personnel including temporary staff" and its reference number is 2013/S 194-334739. The deadline for responses is 5pm on 12th November 2013.

Four NHS collaborative procurement bodies are working together on the joint procurement of a new national nursing agency framework for the NHS and other public sector organisations, as detailed on the NHS London Procurement Partnership website.

The four ‘hubs’, NHS Commercial Solutions, NHS North of England Commercial Procurement Collaborative (‘NOE CPC’), East of England NHS Collaborative Procurement Hub and NHS London Procurement Partnership (‘LPP’), have agreed to actively develop a framework agreement that will meet the needs of all four hubs’ NHS member organisations.

The national framework builds on the award-winning London Regional Agency Nursing Framework developed and managed by NHS London Procurement Partnership since May 2010, and due for renewal in May 2014.

Although a national framework, it will consist of four regional lots to allow for differing market conditions in each region, and each lot will be open to the NHS and other public bodies in that particular region. Richard Humble, LPP’s Agency workstream lead, is heading the team developing the framework, which is on schedule for completion by May 2014.
