Health and Social Care Applications
Facilitating the alignment of digital solutions to assist the NHS.
The NHS London Procurement Partnership (NHS LPP) Social Care Applications Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) is now LIVE.
In order to provide NHS healthcare providers and the wider health and social care economy with the safe and efficient roll-out of health applications, NHS LPP has introduced a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) that enables a streamlined and compliant route to market.
Serving a population with a wide range of health conditions, the programme includes apps that address all conditions supported by the NHS and the health and social care sector. This includes mental health, women’s health, child health, diabetes, blood pressure and more.
All apps that apply undergo an assessment by the Organisation for the Review of Care and Health Apps (ORCHA) and this informs the selection decision made by NHS LPP. ORCHA’s review will look at 260 aspects of each app. Full details can be found at: https://www.orcha.co.uk/our-solution/the-orcha-review/.
Steve Dunkerley, Director of the Clinical Digital Solutions team said, “This programme aims to deliver cost efficient, safe and effective apps into public sector services across the United Kingdom. The Clinical Digital Solutions team here at NHS LPP are constantly seeking digital solutions that better respond the NHS needs”.
The initial categories covered under the Health and Social Care Applications DPS include:
• Category 1 - Child Health
• Category 2 – Diabetes & Hormones
• Category 3 - Heart / Blood Vessels
• Category 4 – Mental Health
• Category 5 – Pregnancy
To apply, developers should first register as a supplier on the NHS LPP procurement portal Proactis. Full details can be found at: https://www.lppsourcing.org/.
