Gluten free products on prescription for treatment of coeliac and dermatitis herpetiformis
The Department of Health consulted on the availability of gluten free foods on prescription in 2017. The decision was made to restrict prescribing to breads and flour mixes only. A review of products is underway. We will look at prescribing guidance for gluten free products following the Department of Health work.
